ive been pestering forums for a while picking out my favourite guitars and i have got it down to 2 les pauls.

1. http://www.rondomusic.com/al3100csbfmnslimp90.html

2. http://www.dawsons.co.uk/acatalog/epiphone_les_paul_special_limited_edition_cherry.html

I play many styles but this will be kept in standard and occasionally drop tuned a step. I play metal, indie, classic rock etc. i have my budget of £280 so they both fit in around the same price. It will be played through my crappy line 6 spider until christmas where i will use either a blackstar ht5, jet city jca2112rc or jca 20h with an mxr fullbore metal pedal, a dunlop crybaby wah and a harley benton g112 cab. (on the heads) Which is best for me? and which will i love.

im not limited to les pauls, they just fit into my style of playing, so if you have more reccomendations then please say. my current guitar, an sx from rondo's, will be used for drop a metal.

Can't you just walk into a Guitar shop with a budget and just buy a guitar?
I mean you have no idea what the guitar is gonna be like if you buy it online.
#6
Would you consider buying it used? Because I've managed to get some pretty sweet used guitars (Like an epi standard for £120)

Are you sure you want the Agile slim model?

Are you sure you want Agile? Postage from America will be a bitch. Check out the "Vintage" brand guitars. They are exceptionally good for the price.

If i were you, I'd buy used. Of course it takes a lot more effort to find the perfect one, but you can get a much better guitar for the same price.

If u look around on ebay, u can find some great Epi LP standards for 280.

I'm pretty sure that with international shipping, Rondomusic doesn't offer their usual warranty. If that's the case, you ought to shop locally or at least an online retailer that offers a warranty.

How do you know nothing will need to be fixed, you don't have it and have never played it. I've heard a lot of good things about agiles, but I've also heard bad things. The bread and butter of agile is the money back policy that gives people the option to send the guitar back for another model or their money if they don't like it or something is wrong. This is a big part of why people take a chance on these guitars that they have never played or seen in person, because they don't really have anything to lose. If you did enough research on agile, you would see this.

The bottom line is they are just Korean guitars, just like all the other Korean guitars. In the states they are a little cheaper because you avoid the middleman by buying direct, but for you, their is no benefit, only potential disaster when you order because you decline the money back guarantee and warranty. You are going on faith and the ravings of internet fanboys.

I'm telling you so you don't make a mistake, they are just the same as most any other Korean guitar, just cheaper in the US, that's why people buy them over here, and that coupled with the money back guarantee is enough to peak people's interest. They are not going to be a higher quality than say Schecter, LTD, and Ibanez, they all come from the same factory.

And I've also read somewhere that Kurt(the owner of Rondomusic) saves money buy foregoing quality control, and that's part of why he has his great return policy. I don't know if that's true though.

It ISNT just all les pauls im looking at, i looked at the ibanez rga32 too. but the guitar wont just be used for metal and rock. maybe metallica style metal but not any heavier. more classic rock like free, g'n'r etc.

all nice guitars, but out of my price range, i have £280 to spend, but im sure i seen an esp ltd and theres also a few more epiphones, i just liked that one. ones in my range also are;

epiphone les paul standard ebony http://www.thomann.de/gb/epiphone_les_paul_standard.htm

ibanez art 120 http://www.thomann.de/gb/ibanez_art120_bk.htm

epiphone Nighthawk custom reissue http://www.guitarguitar.co.uk/electric_guitars_detail.asp?stock=11032311500758

any of these better?
