Im thinking of putting 2 Texas specials in the neck and middle position and a mini humbucker or a firebird pickup in the bridge position so such would blend better the body is alder and I play blues, rock, alt rock, garage rock etc

the firebird pickups are mini humbuckers.

Either way, both pickups suck. Try these on for size, true single coils that will put any modern high output humbucker to shame.

The Firebird mini-humbucker appears outwardly like the mini-humbucker used on other Gibson guitars such as the Les Paul Deluxe
The article just states that firebird mini-humbuckers are different to other Gibson Humbuckers. They won't fit in a SSS pickguard and an HSS pickguard will leave gaps.

There are more than 1 type of mini humbucker. Firebird pickups are still mini humbuckers and depending on the year, the firebird has used several different mini humbuckers.
