I am so unhappy that a thug band the beatles are labelled as a band of the century. Look at their Bullshit lyrics and music seriously please. and their SUITS, Tie.

Another over popularised band THE DOORS. Riders on the storm and road house blues great stuff. Look at the activity of jim morrison and his lyrics but his voice is good. Jim morrison is bad man for the band The doors.

Led zeppelin is another nonsense bunch of thugs. irritating music, pop lyrics, nonsense. They demand helicopter in woodstock and said there is a lot of mud dirt, and dirty people i never find any uniqueness in their music. They are high class bastards.

I am also unsatisfied with B.B.King his music is boring comparing to JOHN LEE Hooker, Muddy water, albert king, Buddy guy BB King is not that important as hooker, water and buddy guy.

I wouldn't really call B.B.King classic rock.

I have to disagree. I've always only ever respected bands such as the beatles, the doors and b.b king but to call Led zeppelin thugs. I find their music to be pure awesomeness.

However more modern bands such as blink 182, greenday, arctic monkeys and most modern "rock" bands are massively overrated. None of them are at all talented. None of them are good at writing music, they just write some generic twoddle (or get someone else to write the twoddle for them). And I can't stand their choice to be refined. Why don't they want to jump around with huge stage effects and wear something other (whilst on stage) than typical clothes such as t-shirt and jeans. I'll tell you why because if they did do this and did pretend they were awesome everyone would realise that they weren't awesome.

sorry. I've just watch the film the rocker and considered it to be a tragedy.

rant over.

led zeppelin isn't even my favorite band but i still recognize them as absolutely one of the best and most influential bands there's been. this guy needs a life sentence on MONSTER ISLAND.

This.

And I would disagree with the point about Arctic Monkeys, they definitely have musical skill and they write all their own songs, I think someone's talking shit.

Obvious troll, or utter idiot, but I'll reply anyway...

Simple answer, there's no such thing as a bad band. If someone wants to pay to listen to/see that band, then they obviously aren't bad. Just not to your taste.

As for suggesting that The Beatles and Led Zeppelin are over-rated? You clearly live in a little bubble of ignorance. Without The Beatles, a lot of modern music would not have evolved the way it has. Without Led Zep, rock and metal would not have evolved the way they have.

Lol... Obvious troll.

Lol @ no uniqueness for Led Zep. One of the most progressive bands ever. XD
How many bands till this day combine hard rock, slide, theremin solos, play guitar with a bow, dabble with synths, have mad circling tape delay effects... and that was back in the 70s. Still as relevant as they were back then and a sound that was ahead of it's time.

I was just talking about this the other day, but their sound is timeless... it's still inspiring to this day. Imitators **cough**Wolfmother**cough** can't even come close to the complexity of their music, lol. They still are pretty catchy though and don't put on a bad show lol.

Dude, I'm not just referring to the arctic monkeys, they may write their own songs but many don't. As i suggested in my comment. However, regarding musical skill at their instruments they are no good. Especially when you compare them to those from say 70's and 80's. I mean the arctic monkey's (and every modern "rock" band's) singer just doesn't compare to the likes of Freddie Mercury, Jim gillet, steve tyler, sebastian bach... the list goes on. same with guitarists look at the older guitarists, Slash, Janick gers, yngwie malmsteem, c.c. deville.

Just because they don't play shred, that doesn't mean they have no guitar skill. And do we really judge bands solely on instrument skill now? I like the Arctic Monkeys because of their songwriting abilities which are amazing, and this is why I like some Green Day as well, though I can understand your point about them completely

What I'm saying is, referring to my first comment, is that certain bands these days are over rated compared to their predecessors during the 80's and 70's. And no I never said instrument skill is what makes a band good or bad but it definitely makes a band able to do more with their music. For example no modern "rock" band would be able to burst into a most excellent solo whereas bands such as steel heart had the option to, whilst on stage, hold a ridiculously high note with their voice whilst a mind blowing solo is going on behind them, whilst on their knees or jumping around the stage or what have you.

I'd like to find someone who would find someone who finds it more impressive to be fixed to the spot singing with the same generic singing voice as the everyone else and having the guitarist doing little more than the same (easy to play) riff or very basic solo in the background.

again sorry for the rant.

It's fine i just want to explore your argument
What's your opinion on The Darkness? He's an amazing singer and they're both good at guitar

The darkness are good. There is a handfull of bands such as the darkness who try to be more like the older bands. More include Wig Wam, Reckless love, Crazy lixx etc.

Alter Bridge?

Except the singer plays well too. You don't necessarily have to be hyper to be good.
