People arguing in here about League/union. Noone would make a league thread, so yeah.

For Union, use this.

It may worth closing the 'only' rugby thread.

The best sport most people will have never heard of.

Hard to get attention when the lesser sport is hogging the name "rugby" and trying to pass it off as the only version of the game.

This 100%

League is the original trilogy, while union is those other ones.

International rugby is the only worthwhile rugby worth watching. The rest is so painfully, so shameful that it makes me angry enough to jeer at the screen like all the football morons.

I think if Hock was going to be sent off, McCarthy Scarsbrook should have been too. But I do think both Tuson and McGennis deserved their red cards.

I think they were justified.

Didn't effect the outcome of the match though, Wigan had that shit locked up.

I never knew Thaler had the balls to send 1 player off nevermind 3 so that was good to see.

Speaking of Thaler, what a shocking decision calling off that St Helens try without going up to the video ref.
#15
He's done that with Cas before too, the ball was put down on the line and he said it was short...that was a TV game too so he could have/should have used the video ref.

Ganson is a joke too...actually is there a good ref amongst them?

Which ones the one where it's 5 tackles before you have to pass it over?

League is 6 tackles.

Only when there's a zero tackle which isn't every set, right?

5th & last usually.

Well there's a team in York!

They've got a couple of good young players on loan at the minute too.

It's a set of six.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rugby_league_gameplay#Six_tackle_rule

When it's back to zero, theres 7. 5th is the 5th tackle, which is why they kick it, so they don't turn over with the 6th.

Never even thought about it that way before

There again, it's pure luck if Cas make it to the 5th tackle anyway with the way Millward has them playing at the minute

Think about it this way; At least they're not Widnes

Yeah, we managed to beat Widnes with Ryan McGoldrick and a hooker playing in the halves

But Widnes have an owner who is willing to throw some cash around, Kevin Brown signed for next year and apparently Matty Smith is going there too.

I think Wigan will have problems when Tommy Leuluai (and probably Finch) goes at the end of the season.

Yeah but he's one of those players will need replacing unlike Fielden who will free up enough salary cap space to sign some more quality players.

I watched a few games last season and I enjoyed it.

I may get a London Broncos season ticket, football is too expensive.

The Broncos could do with all the season ticket holders they can get

Surely they're cheap for the Broncos too?

There's a discount (50% I think) for the games at the Etihad where every team plays over the weekend there and I think there's a free/discounted cup game ticket too.
