I've started doing some of his solos I'm wondering which scales he uses the most? Which ones would be the best to learn. Cheers.

In terms of soloing he uses almost exclusively minor pentatonic ideas with some chromatic stuff thrown in.

Word to the wise: just using a scale that someone else uses will not make you sound like them. At all.

A minor lol...that always seems to be everyone's favorite key

Ok, cool, now try playing that over a riff in, for example, C# minor.

He plays the blues scale with an added chromatic note at all, he uses this in Holy Wars and In This Day We Fight, among others.

e|--12----15-------17-----|
b|--12----15-------17-----|
g|--12----14-------15-----|
d|--12----13-------14-----|
a|--12----13-------14-----|
e|--12----14-------15-----|

So its basically adding a couple of intervals, and doubling the top E to make it 3 note per string

He also uses basic triads a lot.
