She got my number
I got the call
She hit the lucky jackpot
I hit the wall
I'd love to stick around and tell you
How the woman made me fall

I made an answer
She made a plan
I looked for her and found her
With another man
I'd love to stick around and tell you
But I don't think I can

Count your blessings one by one
It's where you're going, not where you come from
And looking back trips up the best of 'em
Step by step is how the race is run

I made an answer
She made a plan
I looked for her and found her
With another man
I'd love to stick around and tell you
But I don't think I can

And if we meet my friend
In some forgotten scene
I'd be your king again
If you would be my queen

Count your blessings one by one
It's where you're going, not where you come from
And looking back trips up the best of 'em
Step by step is how the race is run

Count your blessings one by one
It's where you're going, not where you come from
And looking back trips up the best of 'em
Step by step is how the race is run

I really like how "I'd love to stick around and tell you" returns in every verse, I'm not sure if i like the 3rd verse being the same as the 2nd though.

i like how the song sounds too, but towards the end it kinda lost my attention, if you know what I mean. Perhaps you could modulate somewhere during the little solo thing. I liked the chorus, but felt like it should be an octave higher, not sure if you have the range for that, but I think it'll be catchier and sound more like chorus. but i kinda have a thing for high vocals, so that could just be me :P

Thanks - I hadn't been planning on soloing at all, but I lost my place in the song
