Just picked up a used BBE off craigslist. I just tried using it between my guitar and my M-box mini 2 and there was bad interference. I tried with regular guitar cables and balanced cables and it's still real shitty. What could be the problem?

How are you running the cable sequence? (eg. Guitar -> Input A -> Output A -> Mbox just as an example) the 428i is the two channel rack unit correct?

Are you running straight from guitar to BBE to interface? I'm not really sure you need to put the BBE in the chain for recording.

Straight in Channel A, Straight out 1/4" into the interface. Even when I use it with my Orange or Marshall it creates a hum. Effects loop or straight in. I've emailed BBE but they haven't answered. I haven't read anything about the sonic maximizer ever causing a hum
