Just saw these for the first time in the latest Musicians Friend rag. Is this the company that makes the Mark Bass bass amps? Kinda interesting. Thought I'd share...

(kinda bored)

Power output (CPC): Pentode 1W - 40W, Triode .5W - 15W
1 ECC83 preamp tube
2 EL34 power tubes
One channel
Gain, Master, Presence, Solo, CPC controls
3-band passive EQ
Bias (low/high switch)
Advanced Tube Control System

Continuous Power Control (CPC) feature, which allows you to actually change the amp's power incrementally from the full 40W (Class AB) to .5W (class A) in triode mode

from www.dvmark.it
DV Mark products are 100% Made in Italy, with passion and careful attention to thousands of details.
From the leather handle to the smallest details, the design and construction is meticulous—evidence of a quality level expected only from master craftsmen.
This applies to the whole line, from smaller combos to bigger rigs.
Thanks to our state-of-the-art quality control facilities and the best components, we’re proud to offer a very high quality standard—but at competitive and honest prices, and with full respect for human rights.
All-tube heads have always been heavy, and guitarists expect their gear to weigh a lot. But now the time has come for guitarists to enjoy lighter gear, like their bass players do.

"you can get some high gain tones out of it because we were pushing the power amp"

"low gain - preamp"
"high gain - power amp"

Also it takes 6L6 or 6V6s. Auto bias and matching capability. It also does this continuously.

It has a service port - tells user what the voltage is, bias, time on the tubes, etc. 4:24

Kinda has a Mesa T/A look

sorry if this is old news

Leave hybrids alone they're better for the environment!
Apparently.

i love you man.

it has feet on the side for better horizontal electron alignment.
I wondered why the frisbee was getting bigger, then it hit me.

They sound pretty good, and the power soak works very well.
Not really my style of amp, but they are nice. There is a lot of stuff in them though, they have some tube monitoring stuff built in, which is kinda cool, but adds a fair bit that could go wrong IMO.

The speaker cabs are stupidly light too, because they use neodymium magnets in the speakers.

it just seems from the musicmeese video that they just pack in all of these features, and most of them i would consider not worth paying for (you know you pay every $.01 that goes into an amp from the factory). it sounds good and seems cool, but not something that i would want.

just too much stuff to go wrong IMO.

if i want to buy an amp jammed full of features, i would feel better with the mesa t/a.

my setup has been getting simpler as things go though, so thats just my opinion.

most of my playing the last month or two is my 18W clone and Dual Terror, with or without even a boost, no reverb or mod or anything. if i go high gain and am awake during the day, i will turn on one (or both) of the Splawns, but.

yep

That's just the Euro designation for 12AX7.

Anyway, I want to play with the Triple 6.

I tried the Little 40 when I bought my Custom 24.

Its got a well-rounded clean tones that has a very minor mid-range bump. Fairly nice cleans... the distortions sounded generic... not too dissimilar to a Blackstar, but nothing to shout about.

they're just saying it is odd that it only has 1 preamp tube.

is not a hibrid amp!
is a one channel amp with 2 X 12AX7 (preamp and PI) and 2 EL34 in the power section
at the DVmark they place the PI (in their specs) as a tube of the power section, which is correct but not usual to find in the specs of other manufacturers and this makes a bit of confusion!
so, again, all the DVmark amps (except for where said different) are all-tube!

for the reliability...try ask to bass players who knows MarkBass

No.

Well, technically it could be done, but only in the same way that you could change a cat into a hamburger. It's an unpleasant process, and nobody is happy with the result.

it is no big deal with a thread like this - this was more of an informative thread not a 'what amp' thread or question thread.

So I guess I need to go look at the specs again - I thought I copy/pasted that info in the OP.

Also, welcome to UG
