What are some recommended POPULAR solo's for people that are just getting started soloing?

No metal, thanks.
Yamaha FG700S
Agile 3k
Laney Cub 15w Head with 2x12 cab
Vox VT 20+
The first solo I learned was Black Sabbath's "Paranoid" its based heavily on sequencing the pentatonic scale.
I've also heard people start with the solo from "November Rain"(assuming you can bend correctly, this seems like a good idea).
Honestly to learn some licks, just go to youtube and search licks or play around in a scale and learn to sequence because that helps teach you what intervals sound like. Then start learning the same scale in every key all over the neck.
Knowing scales, sequences, and the fret board will help you be able to play solos you want to learn and understand why they work and how the person that wrote them thought them up and that's far more important than learning ten licks and then parroting them back.
