Hi, I have a little chip in my nut on my Fender Jaguar which causes the low E string to go out tune a little more often, I was thinking of replacing it with a new nut but was wondering how do I know what size nut to buy?
Thanks.

I believe Jaguars typically have a nut length of 1 and 5/8 inches.

One of these should work. Measure the e-to-e spacing, width (thickness), and height of the nut with calipers.

So would it be easy to replace the nut as I've never done it on an electric guitar before? Thanks.
