What are the albums that make you go WTF?
Mine are these:
The Who - The Who Sells Out - because it's just so random
The Lonely Island - Incredibad - the themes of the songs, also more fun than I expected it to be
Steve Vai - Alien Love secrets - because of Bad Horsie. This is the first Vai album I listened to, and it starts with this brain****.
Pink Floyd - Atom heart mother - because it's totally different
Deep Purple - Stormbringer - because I loved all previous Deep Purple albums, and then I came across this. Not a single song I like.
Devin Townsend - Ziltoid the Omniscient - I found out about this album here on UG. Much better than it sounds. And actually funny.
That's it for me. Share yours!
EDIT: And how could I forget Frank Zappa! Just... Zappa. Anything.
Good old Pete. Isn't he too old to masturbate? - Pete Townshend

Some Beatles albums can get fairly trippy. Revolver, Sgt Peppers, Magical Mystery Tour.
West Ham United

Self Portrait by Bob Dylan is kind of wtf?
Pablo Honey and The Bends by Radiohead for sucking so hard.

U.S. Maple - Long Hair in Three Stages

One of the weirdest albums I've ever heard since Trout Mask Replica or Pere Ubu's The Modern Dance.

I still need to get the rest of their discography, but it's kinda hard to find compared with their debut. I had to get the album directly from the label as it was, but they switched labels after their first album, and I think their second label might be defunct. :/

Tilt and Drift by Scott Walker.

EDIT: And Sleepytime Gorilla Museum. Although they're only about half refreshingly unique music, and half impenetrable pretentious wankery.

I literally just spent like 20 minutes trying to find the Tool 'Today I will listen to some...' picture, but I couldn't find the thread.

Really?

It's no Burn or Machine Head, but still, man. It's got some seriously catchy tunes.

Ogden's Nut Gone Flake - Small Faces. There are spoken introductions on a lot of the songs which are just mental. To be honest I love the album but can't ****ing stand the introductions, it's just annoying

You really think The Bends sucks hard?? Pablo Honey isn't even that bad but The Bends is as good as anything Radiohead have ever done

Awesome album, same thing. So many vocal intros. The Audience Is Listening has spoken background "lyrics" the entire track, and they get in the way of that awesome solo.

Not for me. I find The Bends and Pablo Honey both terrible. Far too "stadium rock/U2" generic rock for me.

I prefer Hail To The Thief when talking about guitar based Radiohead stuff. And In Rainbows and Kid A overall.

Evil Urges by My Morning Jacket comes to mind. I'd heard them on American dad, and listened to 'Touch Me I'm Going To Scream' 100 times and then decided to get the album, and I was thoroughly disappointed. It's a pile of shit.

Get in the way?

You realize the entire song is supposed to be tongue-in-cheek and humorous because of the spoken lines, right?
