It's here, a Gibson flying V with a Floyd Rose tremolo on it. Same specs as the regular flying V only this one has 1 volume 1 tone, floyd rose, and GROVER TUNERS! HELL YEAH!! . I'll include the pic from Gibson's website. The price point is about 2000 on Gibsons site but I've never seen them actually at the MSRP.

They've stuck Floyds and Kahlers on Vs before. There's even been a few Epiphone versions.

looks pretty cool.

edit: gah - sniped.
I wondered why the frisbee was getting bigger, then it hit me.

Would look nicer if they stuck to the classic Flying V look.

They were making locking-trem flying V's 30 years ago

Sure took Gibson a while to catch up, huh?

Yeah, 30 years ago. Now they're making a new one much like what they do with all their guitars. Difference is this one doesn't seem to be emptying peoples wallets like the usual remakes Gibson does of their guitars. Besides, it would probably be tough finding a Gibson Flying V with a floyd already installed from 30 years ago for sale.

I like how it's got a spot on both wings for a strap to go on!

That's actually a good idea, really. The shape of the Flying V is completely symmetrical, and (I'm not sure how the old ones were, but) Kahlers seem to be made so a single bridge can be used right or left-handed without modification.

So flipping that guitar to be left-handed would be pretty quick and easy.

I am disappoint.
HILT!

I would have liked one with a pickguard
Just for looks honestly
And plain white....instead of a creamy/old dirty white look

...that's actually, like, my dream guitar. Jussayin'. Anyways, that's great, but I asked them a month ago about getting an Epi Thunderbird IV in lefty, and I haven't got a reply yet. I'm pretty miffed(and I can't make my own because Gibson won't sell the pickups and nobody'll make them).

Nah, I prefer to tune lower. My tunings usually go into weird Hebrew symbols.

You mean the bass?

There's a reason nobody makes those pickups, mate.

To bad they probably all got confiscated.
A flying V with a trem?
I'd buy one.

I want on of these first:

The only real answer to the SG vs Les Paul debate is to get a Flying V and laugh at all the suckers who don't have one.

Another factor that has grown this myth is a bunch of opinionated guys who really don't know what they're talking about, which to be brutally honest is a bunch of you guys on here.

You should check out my V , 'cept mine thankfully doesn't have a Floyd. Done all the customization myself and everything can be taken back to stock if I ever wanted.

This is the only V I want.

Lonnie Mack V's are gorgeous, I've always wanted to play one

I wish Gibson's new V came with a pickguard.. and why did they remove one of the volume knobs? I use all the knobs on my V and can't imagine having a single volume for it

I really wish Gibson didn't make they're guitars so cheap looking. They can possibly play amazing, or like shit with them nowadays, but a lot of them look like they were built with plywood and superglue.

Looks cool. Isn't there a Floyd Rose you can put on a Les Paul that doesn't require routing?

Gibson Les Paul Axcess. I don't remember which model it's made after (Traditional, Standard Studio) but it's just super expensive. You can also buy one of the new Epi Les Pauls that comes with a Floyd Rose. It actually looks and sounds pretty damn sexy!
