Just the usual basement leak. It looks like a tornado hit down the street from me though. Just a pile of trees resulting in smashed cars and fences. A quick blackout this morning, power came back on instantly though.

Post hurricane: Gusts of wind picked back up, knocking over more trees. Power was out for 10 hours in my area

I live in Florida. We've had hurricanes that have looped to hit us twice. Honestly, everything is hurricane proof in my area so, the most a storm does is knock the power out for a a day or two.
Poop.

Yes, poop.

I live where all hurricanes seem to bypass, so I'm cool.

But I think there were some deaths due to it though.

EDIT: I am reading that at least 16 people have died in New England.
The content of this signature is pretty much irrelevant

Damn. I love Austria, it's my favourite place in the world, but they seriously need to nip this 'imprisoning girls in sex-dungeons' thing in the bud..

Given you're posting this this morning, I'm going to assume you're in the general vicinity I'm in and had it pass over last night.

You realize we got lucky and the majority of it went back out to sea while it was over here, right? We got about a category one, other places have had two or three times the trouble we have. Literally.

I live in Holland, our weather's crap, but never extreme. RIP for those that have lost their lives in the storm or its aftermath.

Let me get this straight. You're asking a bunch of people who are sitting at their computers, likely due to boredom, what to do for fun.

When did I say you didn't?

I'm just clarifying that it was hardly harmless, it was a bout of luck.

What's a hurricane? Is that when it's windy and rains alot? I hear they're bad for basements, but I don't know what basements are either.
