Okay, so my low E string is making a weird noise. It's a loud humming/buzzing sound and when I alt pick the sound is larger than the note.
Anyone know how to fix this without taking it into a shop?

It was at a really high action and I've had to lower it due to complications and it has got worse but it's always been there? How and why do you adjust a trussrod?

i wouldnt mess with the truss rod, it can really mess your guitar up, it should be under the cover on your headstock, but if your neck is still straight then don't mess with it

As far as I know my neck is straight. So am I going to have to play on uncomfortable action or ignore it?

your just gonna have to keep adjusting the action untill you find a comfortable height and for it to stop buzzing

If you take it to a small local shop they might adjust it for free, they did for me anyway.
