im getting in to bands like within the ruins, periphery, spies like us, and the plot in you.

im curious what other bands use this tuning.

Actually, it's a whole step and a half down. Half step down takes you to Bb/A#.

On a standard 6 string if you tune a half step down we usually call it Eb not D#... so wouldn't you call tuning a 7string down a half step Ab instead of G#.

Just my two cents.
