ok so here's the deal guys
i was reading some random guitar magazine a few years ago and i stumbled on this ad for some type of new tone knob thing that they got that would replace your pot. it basically just looked like a normal pot with some type of circuit board built into it and it said it was supposed unlock all kinds of crazy tonal possibilities. could someone that knows where to find these on the internet please hook me up with some info. thanks!
don't worry, chuck norris can fix it.

that's really close but not quite exactly what i'm looking for. it looks almost the exact same as that except i'm pretty sure that you don't have to convery your guitar to an active preamp

Well there are plenty of passive mids for normal tone pots that can cut bass, mids, and combinations of it ect ect. I'm pretty sure anything with a pbc is going to require a battery

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.
