So pit, I come to you with this question.

I had an assignment due online by "no later than tuesday."

So I did the first part last thursday. Today, there was another part I had to turn in and I just logged on to turn it in. And he posted saying that he could no longer wait for other people to submit their answers.

So since when has "no later than tuesday" actually meant monday??

Hi. Can someone tell me which guitars are real 24 fret guitars and which are just 22 fret guitars with 2 extra frets added on?

I read it as "bring it in before wednesday" i.e. tuesday at the latest.

I see what you mean, he should've said no later than Monday, meaning Monday would be the last day.

Here in sane land it would mean you can't turn it in after tuesday, IE wednesday. Our professors are awesome though, and you could probably hand it in later.

This is atrocious. Report him to his department head.

Nay. This is too atrocious. Behead him in the morning. No later than noon.

Seriously, he should've stated that clearly, with little left up to interpretation.

"in on tuesday" Would have sufficed.

Well, "in on monday" since "no later than tuesday" meant monday and not wednesday which is what day you normally think when someone says "no later than tuesday".

I thought of it as "in on tuesday, and no later". Meh.

No later than Tuesday = before 12:00am Wednesday. Well that's what I percieve it as. He should of rephrased it so all his class knew what he meant, or he knew what he meant, meaning, "By the end of the day on Monday, but not on Tuesday." I would go and talk to him and tell him that you thought what he meant was, "by the end of Tuesday," since that's probably what your classmates thought also, or just turn his ass in.

It means you hand it in on Tuesday and when he gives you shit you say "sorry, I thought that by saying no later than Tuesday you meant no later than Tuesday"
