Just released my solo project's first EP. It's a little bit djent, a little bit metalcore, a little bit whatthe****whocares.

It can be found here:

http://profile.ultimate-guitar.com/Taclite/music/albums/1039687
http://www.myspace.com/tesmaband

Everything is bedroom recorded and bedroom produced.

Crit any or all of the songs.

Thanks in advance!

EDIT: Oh yeah, everything's instrumental except "Ice cream kebab" which has speech sampled over it.

nice!! i just got my first 8 string some weeks ago and i'm starting to plan my own djenty ep or album, also bedroom produced entirely and solo!! but i'll take some like ambient/post rock infuences and other stuff, i'll see how it works out, i'll take my time
now abut yours, it's really great, nice recording for being bedroom produced, i'll add you as a friend =), maybe we can make an online collaboration someday

edit: ice cream kebab's intro is reeeaaalllyy nice

I really liked Take Off Your Tophat Mr. Fox. It had a nice groove it. For drinking at the Crow Bar, I thought it sounded a lil too generic tbh. Other than the songs themselves the production quality seemed to pretty good, but it would be even better if u added some reverb and compression to the drums to make em sound more life-like. Good job dude!

Thanks, I'm very satisfied with Mr. Fox.
The Crow Bar is indeed a bit generic, and it's the most "metalcore" song on there.

I've got parallell compression on the drums, but not a lot of reverb.

I had a listen to your song, and I like the structure (or lack thereof) of it. The guitars are a bit muddy, try increasing the mid a little.

I listened to icecream kabab. mostly because I found the title intriguing. The guitar tone and recording quality was excellent. Drums sounded nice, though the crashes could be a bit more...crashy.
Too cool for a signature.

Listening to whole demo now. so far the ice cream song intro is my favorite part. one suggestion is some rhythm parts are pretty one dimentional, either add another guitar part or layer more guitar tracks to fatten it up maybe. alot of the time just sounds like one guitar playing. sound clips are great especially since its mostly intrumental but hard to hear it. also hate blast beats so cut that out. can tell the drums are programmed, try more fills and diffrent velocities to make it human.

Thanks for the comment.
I'm not going to remove the blast beats, I like them as they are.
Critted yours in your thread.

Really liking Crow Bar, have you got tabs for it?
In a moment I've lost
Taken from the inside
Her eyes take me away
Tear me apart from the inside out

Thanks! I have got half of it tabbed, I can upload it when I've tabbed the rest.
It might take a while though, I'm working way up in the northern woods of Sweden right now.

Checking out ice cream kebab, nice change into the heavy part. I like the intro too good clean guitar playing. The mixing is real tight i hear everything at an exceptional level.

One of the riffs in there sounds like Amon Amarth a lot, it's real cool man. Great job on this and thanks for the crit.

I normally don't comment cause I'm not really looking for crit but... holy shit dude. Some of your tunes are just so sweet. The intro in Ice Cream Kebab sent chills down my spine. I believe that you need a bit more of a crash into the track. Like the first notes of the distorted riff need to be more powerful somehow.

Mr. Fox seems to me a more djent inspired kind of metalcore breakdown session. The thing I like though is how it's not just generic metalcore stuff and the djent shines though just enough to keep everything interesting.

Really good job man.

Thanks a lot! I agree that Ice cream kebab could have a more powerful "crash", but I'm not quite sure how to get around to achieving that.

The EP is now on Spotify, for anyone interested:
