Hey There UG!

Please check out my band Arc Reactor: www.facebook.com/arcreactorband

Below is our bio that we have up on the page. Our influences include: Mastodon, Korn, Nevermore, Slipknot, Nirvana, Tool, Periphery and many others. we are currently working on new demo recordings of newer songs as the current ones available for listening are from last year.

Thank you for taking your time to check us out.

Here is our bio:

Forged together at the start of 2010, Shaun Langford - Ex Nevermine (Vocals), Dax Brown - Ex FearStrike (Guitar and vocals), Wayne Shelver - Ex FearStrike (Bass) and Ramone Pickover - Ex Ill System (Drums) pooled together years of musical experience and a vast array of musical influences to create a template which they would re-shape in to their own sonic matrix of sound. In March 2011, Wayne resi...gned from the band to pursue his own interests and Clement Georges (Stereo Zen) took over on Bass.

Tired of the monotony of the South African metal scene, these four individuals combined their musical powers to unleash the A-Bomb of sound, which is: ‘Arc Reactor’!

Fusing together new and old school metal sounds, songs range from heavy and fast paced ('The Witching Hour' and 'Sane') to Tool/Korn-esque bastardization ('I, Obsolete') and that is only the beginning of what is still to come.

On the 22 September 2010 released their first single "No Reasoning" on the Holy Grail of Rock slot on UCT Radio.

Arc Reactor signed with Niva Records in November 2010 and since then, the band Featured on the Niva 2010 Tour, released a second single called "The Witching Hour", and headlinded and supported various Niva Record hosted gigs around the Western Cape, South Africa.

As of March 2011, Arc Reactor has since departed from Niva Records and are currently lining up shows as well as preparing to record an E.P. during the course of the next few months.

Arc Reactor recently supported Chromium at R.O.A.R. Observatory in support of their current album tour.

Over the past few months, the band has done well with their Demo 'Singles' "No Reasoning" and "The Witching Hour" which has been getting heard all over the world through Sign Me to RoadRunner Records and having been charted as high as 3rd on the Rock Chart, 5th on the Metal Chart and 8th on the Weekly Rock Chart. The band has also been featured in the Top 10 fairly regularly on the SA Rock Bands website.
