Hello there fellow UGers.

I am planning to buy myself an USB keyboard (Miditech Midistart 3 USB), and I want to be able to play with it without latency, but since I do most of my stuff on my laptop, I can't just replace my Soundcard, so I have decided to also go and buy an USB audio card, the ESI MAYA 44 USB (Which also seems to double as an audio interface, hooray )

Now my question to you guys is, will that work? Since there is no way to like directly connect the keyboard to the USB audiocard. I was wondering if that stuff is linked or something. (Oh and yes the Soundcard supports ASIO, but my laptop soundcard doesn't, maybe that can be a problem too).

Any input is appreciated, since I don't want to buy this stuff to find out it doesn't work.

if you buy yourself a usb keyboard there is no need to set up your asio just plug it directly to your laptop and play. if your keys need driver then you need to install them
