I've just restrung my dads Tanglewood that hadn't been restrung since 1998 (!) and I found that a few of the string pegs were stuck. I knew about all the techniques involving a pick, or pliers and some cloth ect but non of them worked and I was afraid I was going to have drill them out.

But I realized if you bent the clear end of the string slightly you could push it into the pegs from underneath, without removing them, and pull the whole string though then continue as normal. To get the strings out you would do the reverse.

I have never seen this posted anywhere so I thought I would share it in case anybody needs to use it.
Fuck the system - Use non-standard tunings!
