Hey guys. So i've been looking for a t00b amp for some time now (even made a couple of threads about it). Recently i came across the opportunity to get a Krank Nineteen80 Jr which are pretty rare around here since there aren't any krank dealers in my country and i can't get to try the amp first since i'll be getting it online. The thing is i can't find much info on the amp. I know it's supposed to sound like a hot rodded marshall form the 80's which in theory is a good thing. So i was wondering if anyone has tried this model and what did you think about it? Well it be any good for blues/blues-rock as well as 80's metal or is it just another gain monster?

tl;dr: Have you tried the Krank Nineteen80's Jr? What do you think about it?

No dealers?

Don't buy it.

Kranks, across the board:
1. have a love-hate tone,
2. not always the easiest amps to dial in, and
3. hard to shift if you don't like the amp

That said, I found the Rev series to be very versatile, but hard to dial in.

If you can't test it, I'd suggest you pass on the brand, lest you end up with an amp you don't like and can't sell.

it's so cool to hate Gibson, even the federal Department of Justice hates them.
