So guys, what's your favourite song that's been released this year so far? Post a YouTube link so we can all check it out. Might find some new music we like.

Mine has to go - Sounds Of A Playground Fading, the title track off of In Flames latest effort. Incredible song IMO.

Either that, or Lost Not Forgotten, also by DT.
Quite impressive, I used to think DT couldn't create songs like this anymore. (You know, the whole I&W, classic DT vibe).

+ 1! Awesome, solid album! One of their best albums and Breaking all illusions is epicly awesome song!

i haven't really gotten around to too many new albums this year, but there were a couple of songs from the new Falkenbach album back in January that were cool.

This entire album is a good one. The only other music from 2011 I listen to is King Of Limbs. Not a very good year of music for me.
sometimes I see us in a cymbal splash or in the sound of a car crash

This song was all over the radio single radio station I listen to. Liked the song, decided to check out some of their other stuff, but found it it's all piss. This song still rules though.

Under My Nose - Fucked Up
Here Comes the Night - Marike Jager
Putting the Dog to Sleep - The Antlers

I didn't like that new Mastodon song. Seems pretty boring for prog metal.

The song "Lee Majors Come Again" by The Beastie Boys comes to mind first. Technically, it was released a couple years ago, but the album just came out this summer, so I think it counts.

Runners up:
Margot & the Nuclear So and So's - A Journalist Falls in Love With Deathrow Inmate Number 16
The Lonely Island - We're Back!
The Lonely Forrest - (I am) The Love Addict
The Joy Formidable - Whirring
The Antlers - I Don't Want Love
Panda Bear - Slow Motion
R.I.P. M.C.A.

I like that song. The chorus is very upbeat.

I'd go with anything the Foo's have released, particularly Walk.

All the songs Lady Gaga has released with the exception of Judas are awesome, especially You and I. I like that song.

Maybe Back From Cali by Slash.

EDIT: Daaaaamn, Back From Cali was LAST YEAR!? What the hell...

Mastodon's Black Tongue or Machine Head's Locust or Tyler the Creator's Yonkers. Can't decide.
