Alright, I've been having trouble with this for about a year, and I've had no luck whatsoever with it. It's this small scratchy noise right when I pick a note. I don't know if it's because I'm picking to early, or anything at all. It happens everytime I pick in general. Tremolo picking-it's there. I can't for the life of me figure out what this is, but I feel like it's really hurting my playing. Any suggestions or answers at all will be appreciated. Thanks

You win. I'm done here.

make sure you are picking with good technique. It sounds like you may be holding the pick at an off center horizontal angle.

So by off center horizontal angle, what exactly do you mean? Like more parallel with the strings? As in something like this?
|-pick

Not completely parallel, but just a little sideways too.
