I've read a lot of things saying Robin Finck(the guitarist in this vid) uses a crybaby. would I really be able to get this sound with one? and I know that's not all he uses but that's got to be the main thing to that sound right?

No, that would be some kind of filter effect, maybe a touch/auto wah, sounds very fuzzy also

Your signature says you have the CAE wah, which is a lot more than $70.

Yeah but I'm returning it and getting something simpler

^^ y would you do that? having the customization with that thing will make your life so much easier to dial in the exact kind of effect your really looking for out of it. i have the 535q and lot it. and the ability to tweak it makes for better use in everything from hendrix to zakk wylde and steve vai.

you should definitely hold onto that wah, you won't be as satisfied if you down grade

dude, don't return the cae wah. that's a really really decent wah. that will destroy any crybaby you care to try. that's what we recommend people save up for when they want a decent wah.

I returned it because I'm kinda lazy and hated having to open the thing to adjust it, I also felt it wasn't as versatile as people said because I couldn't have both pots in the position I wanted without it making a really loud squeal. and when I contacted dunlop they told me theses two things
"There are usually two things that cause the wah pedal to squeal. First
is if the cables are plugged in backwards. Second if the q is set too
narrow and the gain is too high the pedal can feedback. " Also I feel like I should get a better amp because from what I heard, theres better amps out there then mine.
