So, i just took the pickguard off my old strat copy and found 5 loose springs in there.

What are these springs for?
Where should i put them when i put it back together?

All help appreciated!

Did you unscrew the pickups too?

The springs go between the pickguard and the pickup, kept in place by the screws
on the side of the pickups. This lets you change the pickup height.

Then you should have 6 springs ... 2 per pickup (assuming it has 3 pickups)

I think i may have figured it out cos yh i did unscrew the pickups but there are 5 'holes' in the cavity for where the screws are meant to go cos it does have 3 pickups but it is a very cheap copy so i wouldnt be surprised if things are missing ;D
