so i was just browsing my local craigslist and found this

http://sandiego.craigslist.org/nsd/msg/2595288523.html

for 70 bucks it could end up really well or it could be a money pit. i already own one BV120 but i was thinking

buy-fix-keep= happy
or
buy-fix-sell=profit!=happy

the amp turns on but no sound is produced. i can think of a couple things that are wrong. blown tubes, bad fuses, bad speaker jack, transformer.

whatcha think?

jumping on it might break it even more.

i was gonna post something along these very same lines

but on topic, go for it. why you bothering to ask us if both options you have = happy/win

thats what i thought at first but at the same time if its just a jack or small issue like the board pins being misaligned then its a 70 dollar win. but its a big risk. i normally dont even consider things like this but i had to ask.

Eh. If it was worth a significant amount used and was a fairly desirable amp, sure, but those things aren't worth much and it'll take forever to sell. Since you already own one, I don't see much point in having another

I've had tube amps for a while now, but never actually had any go down on me

maybe you're not saying the right things? an amp likes to know you care.

it never hurts to ask, that's what the forums are here for.

i agree with matrix's point as well.

welcome back to sanity.
