Starting work on a Fender Jaguar, let me know if you like my ideas here: Sonic Blue finish, red pickguard that covers the lower switch plate and has a toggle switch instead. Maple neck with a rosewood fretboard, bird inlays, CBS head stock, standard Jag/ JM trem, Dimarzio 36th anniversary PAF pickups. Any thoughts?
Out here you've gotta know where your towel is!

Ditch the birds and you'll be fine... Not because I think it's a ripoff but simply because to me Jags aren't really for anything fancier than block inlays, at the very most.

2. Standard Jag/ JM trem
3. PAF pickups
Thoughts?

That this is closer to a Jazzmaster with a CBS headstock, than a Jaguar.

Isn't one of the main differences the scale length, rather than what switchies it has?

main difference is the jazzmaster tremolo, and thats about it. and the headstock, and the fact that most jazzmasters have rosewood fretboards.
