I was thinking of taking my F335 back, and spending an extra 50 on the fg700s. The only thing stopping me is....does it sound brighter? That's what I'm looking for...
I own a 700s only because it was the brightest sound I could find for the price. So yes, it is brighter. Strings will make a difference in tone as well though, so grab a pack you like.
Sorry for the bump, haven't been around much lately. Will elixirs sound bright enough on it? That's what I use on my F335. If not, what kind of strings could I use to brighten the sound...that I won't have to change every week?
These D'addario EXP 80/20's, (coated), should be really bright and last awhile: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/accessories/daddario-exp11-coated-80-20-bronze-light-acoustic-guitar-strings/100966000000000 (I linked a standard light gauge set. Obviously there are others).
