This is probably a stupid question, but I have to ask it. I just bought a used Peavey 6506+ off Craigslist, it came with the footswitch, but not the cable to connect it to the amp. The amp works just fine but nothing in the effects loop works, and I'm thinking its because I don't have the footswitch plugged in. Is this true? I've seen that on other amps, its a stupid design, but I just have to make sure the amp isn't broken first.

And if it is just missing the footswitch, is there any way to engage the effects loop without the footswitch so I can play the amp while I wait for a new cable to arrive?
