Hi all, I have my year 12 exams coming up, and am trying to work out backing tracks for three pieces. I'm having a hard time finding backing tracks without bass, and was wondering if anybody would be able to help me remove the bass from the original recordings, while retaining a high sound quality? The songs are Michelle - The Beatles, I Heard It Through The Grapevine - Gladys Knight and The Pips and For Once In My Life - Stevie Wonder.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Jack

No, next to impossible without a either the original sessions or a PhD in sound engineering

r a PhD in sound engineering

Even then you can't do the impossible, you'd lose the fundamentals of the kick drum almost every time.

Think the only real option is to use GuitarPro/TuxGuitar delete the bass lines and export as an mp3. It wouldn't be the best quality, but it'd be better than nothing.
