So, I searched (a little) and found there was no thread for this, which surprised me.

The Don't Ask Don't Tell policy, which effectively bans homosexual people from serving in the US Armed Forces has been repealed after nearly two decades of being an active policy.

Personally I think it's brilliant, and quite a big step forward for the US. Of course the Republicans are going to go against it, as they have stated, but hey, at least it is through, if only for a while.

I was under the impression this happened several months ago? I may just be ignorant though. Still a good thing no matter when it happened.
