Does anyone know what the very first multi effects pedal was?

An early one was the Ibanez UE300, I don't know if it is the first. It uses analog effects instead of digital which is pretty cool. It came out some time in the 80's.

depends on how you want to define multifx. as mentioned Ibanez had a couple of pedals that were 3 in one but they aren't the same as a multi-fx unit is now. they were 3 pedals in one housing with seperate controls and footswitches.

Digitech were the first to make a digital delay pedal in the mid 80s. they had a unit called the PDS 20/20 which had flange, chorus and delay. the effects could only be programeed and used one at a time. i have one laying around here somewhere.
