It's a catchy song, reminds me of the album Blooddrunk in some ways. Nice use of harmonics, I like that. That particular riff is real heavy. Like the transition at 2.05, that shits awesome! A great idea for a chorus! I can tell how much you take inspiration from Alexi, it shows in both your riffs and even your solos, and btw your solos rock! Love the guitars panned to left and right battling each other during the lead great job on your first upload!

You really have no idea how much that means to me, both enjoying my song and comparing to Alexi. Thank you so much, words can't describe how much I wish to thank you for the kind words! And sure, C4C!

those are some catchy riffs dude! Nice tone, only complaint I'd have is the drums are a little simple and the cymbals sound a bit fuzzy. But as far as guitar goes it sounds great. I agree with touke the harmonic riff is nice. Great lead playing, very clean. Nice job C4C? https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1481205

Yeah man, c4c! and I always have some trouble with the drums.. just because the program I use renders them as ogg vorbis files when I'm done, which makes me have to use audacity to change them into mp3s or wavs, and I hate audacity because of the outcome of the music quality. However, the cymbals sound A LOT less fuzzy through headphones while on my Ipod. Anyways, thanks for the kind words! Rock on!

Hey dude, listening to your song right now. Sounds really good man.

Crit:
-Drums are wayyy too simple. Your song would sound so sick with some double kick beats, skank beats and just more complexity in the drums.
-The solo is ****ing great, no crit there.

I can't really say anything bad about anything that isn't the drums. Srsly, up the ante on the drums and it'll sound great. Right now it sounds way more like a hard rock song (Breaking Benjamin, Seether, Soil, Drowning Pool) with the simple beats and metal guitars.

You should take a look at my song as well and tell me what you think mate!

Thanks a lot for the constructive criticism! It's greatly appreciated Anyways, about the drums. I'm facing a few problems with them right now. 1.) I need a better (free) drum program. The program I use really isn't good. 2.) Just my opinion, but I thought the drums (especially in the verse and 1st solo) were pretty awesome when I made them simple like that. I felt it added a lot.

Decent intro. I can't hear any bass guitar at all though? The riffs are really good but I feel it needs something else, sounds kinda empty or missing something. You should definitely get some vocals for this, would add a lot. The drums could be better certainly, but people have already mentioned that. Oooh this ending solo is pretty nice, very clean playing really cool.
Overall it's good, with potential to improve as well. Solo is the highlight for me.

The times where I can hear the bass most are: the open notes during the harmonic riff, when the lead picks up in the intro, and after the pickscrape transition to the riff right before the first solo. Since part of that riff is only mixed into the right speaker, you can hear the bass through the middle and left. That is.. if you have a middle speaker :P anyways thanks dude! And yeah, i'm planning to put lyrics over all the songs I write but 1 when I make an album. I want at least one instrumental in there haha.

Sound quality, the guitars are very good. I'd try for a little more crunch and clarity in them, that would give them more of a 'punch'. Also, it sounds like you're using a touch too much gain. I know it's necessary for those leads and runs up and down the frets, but it's a little fuzzy. I'd dial it back just a little bit, as gain is cumulative.

But that's just me being nit picky. There's nothing bad to say about it, those are just personal preferences.

I'd also like to hear more bass, even if it just follows the kick drum. Just bring it out in the mix a little more.

I know the drums are programmed, and you're a guitarist, so they're pretty much the last thing you worry about. And that's fine, but I agree with everybody if you're looking for ideas and inspiration for drum writes think Bodom. That's what I hear in the guitars.

Again, nothing bad to say about it. The production is still better than 75% of material on UG. And I don't need to tell you that it kept my head bobbing the entire time.

I just finished recording the guitars for a song of my band's if you could crit that. It's unedited, so it's sloppy in some parts, but I kept it as tight as I could. If you want, just crit it in here, since it's not posted on a site that you can comment. Thanks.

Cool riffs.

A (personal) mixing note:

The guitars are panned way too hard left and right. makes for an uncomfortable listen especially with headphones imo

you can have both guitars more left or right but center them a little more so that theres more to the middle rather than being split in half when listening.

Just my $0.02

Edit: you can keep the intro the way it is. This is more for once the song actually gets going.

Otherwise good job!
