I don't see the purpose of this.

This is actually really cool. Now if only we knew enough about the brain and eye to make it so it transmitted directly to his brain like a real eye...

One of the characters I write for in Amplified has one of these, and it's always cool for me when I see something I write about, especially in sci-fi, is a lot closer to reality than I think it is when I write it up.
