Hey guys,

By any chance, did you guys know which guitar our demigod JOHN PETRUCCI used before he got his Ibanez Signature one?

I was wondering which Ibanez guitar replaced the Ibanez JP. Anyone knows?

pretty sure it was an earnie ball

Serious?

I always thought he used to play Ibanez, then he got his signature guitar... then switched to EBMM.

Guys, I guess I was not clear enough back there.

Look, we all know that now JP play as the frontman (together with Steve Morse) of Earnie Ball. But back to the 90s he used to be one of the guitargods who played Ibanez in the 90s.

He had lots of Ibanez signature models, all of them using the "Picasso" painting.

But I'm asking which guitar he player BEFORE he got his Ibanez JP1. It is a hard question, I know... But maybe someone knows it...

I just found these videos where JP use a different guitar and a RANDALL full stack.

Can anyone tell which guitar this one is? I've never seen those marks... But I do believe this guitar look a lot like a Ibanez model.

The only real answer to the SG vs Les Paul debate is to get a Flying V and laugh at all the suckers who don't have one.

Ok.

So he have the order of

Carvin > BC Rich > Ibanez > EBMM.

Right?

Carvin by the picture.
BC Rich by the video.
Ibanez by 90s DVDs (Rock Discipline, for example)
EBMM by fact.
