So yesterday I just got my Blackstar HT-1 combo in the mail yesterday which is my first tube amp. After coming home from work and playing with it I had a issue with the volume. It seems like from 1 to 9 is just one medium volume, which is good enough for me to practice. It gets slightly louder going from 1-9, but not much. Then when I turn to 10, the volume jumps and all of a sudden and its considerably louder. There is no gradual transition between 9 and 10. It sounds like I went from 5 straight to 10 on the volume almost. Can anyone tell me why this is? Also I bought it in "like new" condition if that matters.

Thanks for any help, if you need any more information just let me know.

may need to let your power/preamp tubes warm up a bit and play them in.

Sorry for bumping my own thread, but I want to figure this out before the return policy expires.
