I am looking at getting this parkwood it has a great sound I have been playing for a year but it is the first guitar I am buying for myself and I don't know to much about them I am getting it used from guitar center for $519 and can not find it new on any other site the only place I found it was on parkwoodguitars.com and it said it was $1,150 from 2006 so is this a good deal and a good brand guitars
Thank ya for any response

i could be wrong, but i believe that guitar was clearanced a while ago. it never cost that price that the parkwood website lists - it was usually around what they're asking or a pinch more, and on holidays it tended to go way down for sales. still, a nice sounding all solid guitar for a reasonable price. check it for issues, though - all of these sold out in the guitar centers around here pretty fast when they first offered them on clearance. btw, is it being sold as new or used?

It is used but is in mint condition it looks as good as every other guitar there and this was the only one I could find anywhere and it came with a hard case not just a gig bag so do you think it was a good deal or a rip off?
Again thank you for the detailed response

i don't think it's a rip off, although it's not a particularly good deal, either. i've seen these sell new for under $400 on 4th of july and other sales. but the big question isn't whether you're getting a deal - it's whether you love the sound of the guitar. if you do, that's the one you should get IF you know how to look for issues when it comes to used guitars. if you like it, but don't like it better than others, here are some brand new all solid guitars for $500 or less.

very partial to blueridge guitars - this one sounds very nice.

and some epiphone masterbilt options - lots of people really love theirs.

I really like the sound of it so I ended up getting the guitar, I played it with a martin mmv and it was just a step below it and thank you so much for the help you really helped me make my decision(and since it is guitar center I figured it wasn't the greatest deal lol)
