I just yesterday got a couple of speakers for my bedroom. I have one problem though, the living room (where my mum and step-day) spend most their time, is directly below my room. The speakers are very bassy, even with the bass EQ's turned down and I was wondering is there were any ways to stop the bass frequencies vibrating on the floor so much.

Any Idea?

You could always get a few sheets of thick foam and put them under the speaker body, to 'cushion' the vibrations of the bass frequencies.

Standmounts or floorstanders? I work in a hifi shop, I can fix things.

Neither, they are second hand and quite old (still sound great though), at the moment I've put them on top of a small table and it seems to have helped it a bit.
