#1
(Intro)
Is it easier said than done?
The things that we haven't won
If we work to achieve it
I know it'll be a bit harder to do than to say
But, life just works that way
And if we conceive it to be just a wee bit
Easier done than said
Then, we can put our doubts to bed
And we can rest our weary heads.

(Verse 1)
Is it easier said than done?
The things we hoped we would become.
Because, our roots are abused and shredded and bruised,
But still our tree of love stands strong
Perhaps it's easier said than done
To admit that we're sometimes wrong
Because, if we lie to ourselves
We lose the truth in the swells
And that's the end of our lovesick song

(Verse 2)
Should we bear the fruits of our labor
Run the risk, if we waver,
Of crashing and tumbling down?

Because the odds are against us,
Yet we play with our chances
Of crashing to the ground.

These are the cards that we're handed
And if we can play them
Our branches will wrap around

To protect our love...

(Bridge)
Troubles come, and troubles go
It's how we deal with them that really show
Just who we are, and how it's been
And we fall right back in love again
Just to see you smile, hold your hand,
Makes me crumble into sand,
Our troubled hearts, we can tame,
And, still, I'll love you just the same

(Outro)
Is it easier said than done?
All the things that we haven't won.
And if we work to achieve it, I know it can be a bit
Harder to do than to say
But, life just works that way
And if we can conceive it to be just a wee bit
Easier done than said
Then, we can put our doubts to bed
And we can rest our weary heads.
It's not pointless, dammit! It's ABSURD!

The lyrics here aren't half bad! Personally, I find this would be great if it was carried by a really catchy melody and kick-butt guitar riffs. The "wee bit" stands out at me; "little bit" might be a better choice of words. Verse 2 should be reworked as well.

But I'm loving the word play in the intro and outro

Thanks, man! What about verse 2 should be reworked, because I have a riff that those lyrics work around. But, yeah, I dug the word play in those two parts, too.
It's not pointless, dammit! It's ABSURD!
