Hey all!

I am new here, and i need some help with a couple of signs that is probably as basic as it gets.

There are 3 signs on the tabs that i do not understand

8/---8/---8/---

What does "/" mean

And then there is

8-11^1/2-8

What does "^" mean?

and finally

8-11B

And what does the B mean?

I have a friend who said these is ussually written on the one who does the tabs, but not in this case.

Song in case: http://tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/e/elvis_presley/hound_dog_solo_tab.htm

the first one, is that after you hit the 8th fret you slide out down the neck towards the 12th fret etc, the second one just means that should hammer on or pull-off the note, and the B after the note means that you should bend the string, hope i helped.

The second one (^½ means bend one half step.
