Hey there!
I've heard of the MIDI converter
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=unSpaxIEkV4
Now, does anybody know of a software to deal with the MIDI?
I mean, one that could save it(is there any way to convert to to Guitar Pro?), and edit the sound, so it will sound like something else?
(since MIDI is digital, theoretically, I can make it sound like a trumpet if I wish. How do I do that?)

Thanks in advance!

Thanks.
Do you know of any software that will receive a midi input, do an effect on it and send a sound output in real-time? What I'm trying to do is to simulate effect pedals using my PC and a midi-converter.

1. Download Reaper
2. Import your MIDI
3. Load up your chosen VST
4. Profit!

If you want a trumpet sound, I don't really know any good VSTs for that but a google around should find you a decent one.

Those are VSTs, so you'll need to load them up in a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) like Reaper.

And yes it does work in real-time.
