They also let white people into the KFC and the NBA now.

Ah yeah.... I'm really starting to wonder why there's a point of that searchbar when it's not even a comprehensive search unlike the search tab.

We don't want more people playing guitar though.

I'm getting tired of seeing guitars everywhere.

Seriously, man. There are different instruments out there!
You are now using UG Black.
You are now using UG Classic.

Listening to: New York Voices, as well as the new Vulfpeck record (fuck it's so good)

It's funny how people seem to give Rocksmith all the credit while Rock Band did this a year earlier.

At this point playing the game is exactly like playing guitar, only the latter doesn't require a TV, console, game disc, and adapter device. Not to mention, you don't have to pay for songs.

Well, this is basically a flashy version of Guitar Pro, isn't it?

Which is cool.

I don't think it'll be much of a hit though. The whole pitch of Guitar Hero is that you can play cool stuff without actually learning the guitar. This defeats the point.

If you wanna play guitar...then play guitar! These things are so stupid. I mean, guitar hero was a fun GAME to play, but these guitar hero ripoffs with real guitars are pointless.

Besides, they always have shitty songs on them.

"Play ROCKSMITH! Where you can play REAL GUITAR to mega hits like California Brain by the Rapscallions and Well OK Honey by Jenny O!"

Also, Rise of the Sixstring, which had this same exact concept, was a critical and financial failure.

for existing guitar players who know what they are doing, could be a good jam/learn song tool.

But for the market its probably mainly aimed at (the people who thought playing guitar hero = playing guitar) this could lead to a new generation of people playing who cant play guitar 'playing' with terrible tecnique etc

No. The songs were cool, but I hated the way it looked and all the GH games after it.

it looked and felt the best

GH2'd field of view was flatter and had a very awful ho/po system.

Yeah but black people are bad at track-running...

Also I think this has more credibility than GH. At least you'll be able to play guitar at the end of it.

Yeah, RB3 got like no attention and was down to $20 almost immediately.
But This game lets you use any guitar instead of just what they give you make you pay a couple hundred for.

It did feel pretty good, but I prefer the more realistic look of the earlier GH games and RB.

EDIT: No bass yet,, do not want. Though maybe it'll help me get decent at guitar

They should include some Allan Holdsworth tracks...that'd be awesome! It'd also be hilarious seeing someone try and learn it.
