I'm thinking of buying the GuitarPro iPod app once I get the cash, but before I do, I was wondering, does the app allow you to write music, or just view stuff?

Alright, after a minute or two of looking, it looks like you cannot write music within it, only write it on a computer and then import it.

It also doesn't look to be entirely in sync. It might just be a few milliseconds off, but its noticeable to me.

It also jumps between measures, the scrolling isn't smooth at all.

Does anyone know of any apps where you can write tabs?

On Guitar Pro you can write create tabs in it, it's called notepad, not really used it myself apart from a mess around, but could be useful if you need it on the move

Can you use multiple instruments in it? (like piano and strings and brass all in one track) and save them?
