well i re strung my jackson rr3 the other day and for some reason it will tune down a step to D-G-C-F-A-D but it won't tune to E standard. its never been setup for a drop tuning or anything this is the first time its been out of the case in about a year how do i sort it out :P thanks

What do you mean it doesn't tune to E standard? What's keeping you from doing that?

have you tried using the fine-tuners on the bridge?
Belief is a beautiful armour but makes for the heaviest sword.

i tune each string once and then the trem just comes up too high straight away...i assume it something to do with the springs but i have no idea what too do

Sounds like you probably should tighten the springs a little. If you have a manual, check it for instructions.

You probably bought a heavier gauge of string than you had on before.
