The songs you hear that either havent survived the test of time or are just painful to listen to because they are that cringe-worthy.

Any songs that are self-aware of their genre. For example, a metal song talking about how awesome metal is.

Motley Crue did do a cover of it. or, are credited with a cover. but nobody seems to know for sure who did it. some people say it's them with John Corabi doing the vocals, but others say it's John Corabi with Bruce Kulick.

but i guess TS did **** it up. i assumed he was referring to the cover, cause the original song is great. wow TS, you fail so much.

but you still shouldn't just make assumptions like that, since 9 out of 10 people aren't stupid enough to make a mistake like TS.

Anal ****'s Hitler Was A Sensitive Man. Subject matter aside, it's one of the worst songs I've ever heard.

And it usually doesn't ruin the song, but some of Dream Theater's very, very literal lyrics make me shake my head in disbelief.

My god, I can't stand AC/DC anymore. I really can't. My uncle won tickets to their show in Atlanta a couple years ago. He wanted to take me. I refused. Because I knew my brain would leak out of my ears, and I would die.

Also, "The Hardest Button to Button" by The White Stripes.

Any songs of "Songs about my cats" by Venetian Snares. I usually love his stuff, but this kills me: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VFXFuU-qKlg

Also, "Zero Tolerance For Silence". Everybody goes on and on about how AMAZING Pat Metheny is, but seriously, his tone is annoying and he's a horrible person. He also puts out garbage like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pnN7RX1RHes

To be honest I would rather listen to Nickelback than that shit called indie music where its a 3 person band that everyone hits a note on the kick then mutes on the off beat then hits another note on the snare. so the entire song is da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da and then in the music video the bands members randomly move without walking and change instruments with each other and are emotionless.

if you like that stuff and you complain about nickelback you have problems because that is an entire style of music that is the same not just one artist

A lot of 80's rock, in general. Not saying all of it or even most of it, but a lot of it.

Uhh, indie stands for independent. Which means they aren't signed to a record. If you mean alt rock, i'm inclined to agree that band like Incubus all sound similar. But don't slag off indie if you don't know what it is, there are some incredible inventive bands that aren't signed to any record label.
