Anybody know any novels that are surreal?
It's difficult to describe what I'm looking for... Uses stuff from the surrealist movement (obviously), dream logic, etc.
Lynchian stuff I suppose... But in a novel.

Thanks if anyone can understand that and knows anything, haha

This thread is as terrible as music, which sucks balls.
I don't know if it necessarily counts as surrealism, but the book One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez is quite fantastic, and it dabbles into a lot of surrealist elements.

This, I love the part where Sarah Jessica Parker puts her ass cheese in a cup. It's an obvious reference how the government caused 9-11

Kurt Vonnegut is pretty surreal, try Cat's Cradle, Slaughterhouse five or Breakfast of Champions.

Also my favourite author Tom Robbins, Jitterbug Perfume, Even Cowgirl's Get The Blues, Skinny Legs and All are probably my three favourites.

Also quite a short novel that might fit what you're looking for is The Journey to the East by Hermann Hesse.

Richard Brautigan sounds about right. Try 'Trout Fishing in America' or 'A Confederate General from Big Sur'.
