I have a Les Paul Standard 2009 with the chrome tuners, which i never liked very much, and now I am considering changing them for the vintage tulip tuners. But my only concern is, will I have to do any drilling? Or will the tulip tuners fit into the same holes?

I have personaly found that the crome "keystone" tuners hold up much better than the plastic ones.
They should fit, but the set screws might not line up properly.

The original vintage tulip tuners would not fit, they would be loose. I can't figure out which brand makes "modern" tulip tuners.. Gotoh, maybe?

EDIT: Apparently, Kluson seems to have that stuff. It's worthy to check out.
