My Peavey Millenium has a bridge on it that can be strung top-loaded or string thru. So my question is, what's the difference? I've heard that string through will resonate better, but is there that much difference in the tone and feel of it?

There won't be a night and day difference between the two, but there is some. Running it through the body does add some resonance and usually result in a softer attack and warmer tone. Whereas running them through the bridge usually yields a snappier attack with a tighter tone.

One way isn't better than the other, it depends more on what you want to do with it.

I may try top-loading it on the next re-string. My tone is a little warm and fuzzy.. I want it to have some bite to it.

Do google search if that changes the string length you need. My mustang was a nightmare to figure out because it's a short scale and string through aka medium scale after much searching
