Anyone else love him? In my opinion, the funniest stand-up ever.

He's on Conan tonight, and it just came to my attention he had a new album come out last week. Probably gonna listen to it on my 2 hour drive home tomorrow.

ITT: Discuss Patton Oswalt, favorite bits, etc

Ever? hahahaha no

He is funny though. But come on.
Dunno. No other stand-up has made me laugh more.

THE NEW ALBUM WAS RELEASED?!?!?!!

Where have I been?

Man, he's my #2 favorite comedian of all time, and I only have a concrete top 3 (#1-Carlin, #3-Birbiglia). I could quote the main all day, and usually find a way to at least once a day.

He's one of my heroes, in terms of comedy and writing. His book is one of the few that I could re-read over and over without tiring.

I love when he personifies things. Like when liquor and the treadmill try out for him.

Or when he talks about the apocalypse or what an acid trip would be like talking to his little daughter about lucky charms.

I love nerdier pessimistic comedy like him and Louis CK.

I'm digging his new stand up album

This. I'm finishing it up this morning. It's actually damned good.

I'm glad the man hasn't been completely drained by real life to the point where he's not funny, like he was worried about happening.

Granted, it's not the exact as the older material, but I never expected it to be. It's fantastic. He will never wear on me.

Right? It's not as completely, full-on "My stomach is about to explode from the workout it just got from laughter" experience, but it's all still completely quotable, and constantly funny.

Good stuff.

He's on Conan tonight,

Not because Conan is funny, but the fact that somebody would actually watch that talentless buffoon makes me chuckle. Plebeian.

There's this guy from the 80's I think that was some skinny tall dude that had this funny haircut and acted like he was some retarded awkward guy, which was very funny, but I forgot his name (he had a high pitched voice too).

Emo Phillips?

Yeah that one!!

Personally I find him much funnier than any of the comedians mentioned in this site (although that C K Lewis is funny too)
If you like C K Lewis, you'll love Louis CK.
